Unpacking the Oath Keepers

In the weeks leading up to the Congressional investigation into the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, I worked with Right Wing Watch to tell the story of some of the lesser-known but major players who helped plan the attack. 

This video dug into the Oath Keepers, one of hte largest anti-government groups on the Far Right. During the insurrection, you could see them in riot gear carrying weapons on the grounds of the Capitol. We used Right Wing Watch's extensive research on the Oath Keepers to provide context about what the group was doing in the lead up to the attack on the Capitol - and why they were an ongoing threat to our democracy.
